Hiking and cycling nodes on the map

Door Tim Sluis op 7 January 2025

In recent years, hiking and cycling nodes have emerged in the Netherlands. These have become incredibly popular among enthusiasts. The node network takes you past the most beautiful spots and gives you the freedom to choose your own route. From now on, you can add these nodes to your digital map in Wolf Maps.

More freedom for the visitor

Always have the nodes at your fingertips. With the interactive Wolf Maps map at hand, visitors can effortlessly follow their chosen route, whether walking or cycling. If the area’s signage is lacking, there is always the digital map to follow the nodes. Want to deviate from a standard route? Thanks to the node network, you remain flexible and discover more.

The node network on your map

Hiking and cycling nodes are accessible to all map makers, at no extra cost. More freedom for you as a creator and for your visitors. The advantages at a glance:

  1. We update the node network automatically from the existing routing database.
  2. Create a map based on nodes and enhance your map with places such as historical locations, unique stories, and restaurants. Or flip it around, add nodes to an existing map with routes and locations.
  3. We only load the nodes that are relevant to your map. If you add a new place on the outskirts of your map, matching nodes are automatically added.

A digital and interactive map should not distract. Visitors don’t want to miss anything of the nature and culture around them. No hassle with zooming in, no non-functioning app, or a jumble of elements. Just a visually strong map that immediately shows visitors where they are and how they can make use of the nodes. In our maps, it truly is all about discovery.
