Toolkit for Businesses on the Map

Are you listed on a Wolf Maps map? Discover how to easily share the map with your guests, so they can explore your region right away. Below we explain the options step by step.

The map

Wolf Maps is an online tool that organizations use to build digital maps, for example with hotels, restaurants, and museums in a region. The map is centrally managed and always up to date.

If your business appears on one of these maps, you can share it very easily with your guests. Think of a QR code in a hotel room or showing the map on your website. You do not need to maintain anything yourself; guests immediately get a complete and up-to-date guide, and together you strengthen the region.

How you can share the map

There are three simple ways to share the map.

The easiest way to share the map is with the URL. When you open a map, click Share map on the left and copy the URL.

Then use the URL in different places:

  • Add a link from your website to the map (for example in navigation or a news post)
  • Include it in a newsletter
  • Share it on social media

2. Use the QR code

The map has its own QR code. You can find it via Share map, then download a PDF you can use in printed materials so visitors can open the map with their phone camera.

Ways to use the QR code:

  • On a stand at your reception desk (for example campsite or hotel)
  • On flyers in hotel rooms
  • On posters or stickers on your storefront window

3. Embed on your own website

Let guests discover the interactive map directly from your website. That makes it easy to see what is available without leaving your site. Embedding the map on your website also shows that you are part of the network and increases your visibility.

Embedding is straightforward and only requires a little technical setup. In most cases you can do it yourself or ask your web developer.

How to do it

  • Open the interactive map and copy the embed code via Share map
  • Go to your website CMS/admin area
  • Paste the code where the map should appear
  • Save changes and check if the map is visible correctly

If this feels too technical, ask your web developer to do it.
