Use this checklist to verify whether your map has a strong foundation. You can do much more, but this is the minimum setup for a clear, working map.

- Your map has a logo and background image.
Settings > General
- Your map has an intro text and a link to your website.
Settings > General
- Categories use your brand colors and a simple icon. Tip: keep it clear and use around 8 main categories.
- Optional: an area boundary has been added to the map.
Instructions: Add an area boundary
Places & routes
- Every place or route has at least one image and a short description.
- If your map has many routes, the interactive route network is enabled so all routes are shown in one calm color.
Settings > Map > Interactive route network
Interaction
- The QR code is enabled so visitors can quickly open the map on mobile.
Settings > Interactions > Show QR code “Take this map on your phone”
- On mobile, the map asks for the visitor location directly when opened.
Settings > Map > Ask for location automatically
Technical
- A custom domain is connected to the map (for example
yourmap.domain.com). Tip: if you use a shared overarching domain, each new map may need to be linked to that domain again. We currently do this for you; send a short message to hello@wolfmaps.com.
Instructions: Custom domain for your map
- The map is embedded on your website.
